Margaret is a local fisherwoman that we have become friends with. One night she brought over deep fryer and a bunch of fish she caught and made an authentic Tennessee fish dinner for us. Margaret even shared her secret recipe for hushpuppies with us. It doesn't get any fresher than that! Delicious!
Margaret makes her own relishes and jams which she also brought for us. She makes a green tomato relish that is just terrific and was quite a hit with dinner.
Another night we had Margaret over for a pasta dinner to return the favor and another neighbor, John, joined us too. John makes home made peppermint schnaaps (the big empty bottle in the middle of the table) that he shared with us. Much better than store bought.
