4-9 to 4-14 No Name Harbor to Pompano Beach (near Ft. Lauderdale)

The ICW trip from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale was filled with sky scrapers, mansions and mega yachts just as you would expect. My parents have a condo just north of Lauderdale and we were going to spend Easter with them as we have for most of the past 10 years or so, though never before by boat.

Last year (for the first time) Dave and I managed to convince my parents that since we are well into our 40's we should no longer have to hunt for our Easter Baskets. No such luck this year. As usual I found mine last.

Dave and I were treated to several delicious nights out on the town. We are no longer tourists here, so it was nice to be able to just have a relaxing visit in a place that doesn't rock when it is windy or a boat passes by.

We were very fortunate that my parent's friends the Basil's arranged for us to dock our boat at the marina in their development. It was just a short walk from my parent's place and so kind of them! The situation couldn't have been more perfect. We had a dinner party for everyone to say thank you.
