We took the ICW to Palm Beach and anchored the boat. Dave came down with a bad cold so we stayed a second night. We headed to Stuart where we planned to pick up the Okeechobee waterway back to the Gulf and found a newly re-built mooring field to stay at.
Dave really took a turn for the worse and we wound up staying there for 4 nights before he was much better at all. The next leg of the trip would bring us through some locks and shallow water so we thought it was worth while to wait until the captain felt up to it. Dave was feeling pretty blue just like this heron.
