Yesterday we had to decide whether to stop at mm 39 or go to a further anchorage potentially in the dark at the end. We decided to go further and it is a good thing we did.
The northern part of Moblie Bay is a real working bay. You don't see boats like this every day! In many of the places we have been so far we have felt like a big boat. I think that is about to change significantly.
We had a drink on Brown Eyed Girl with Dave, Bridget and Bridget's mom. Then Dave and I went to the restaurant at the marina where we planned to meet the rest of them for dinner. The restaurant is above the marina store/office/hang out area and we wandered in there by mistake. Until then we had felt like we had slowed down alot. We spent a little while with some of the good old boys and realized there is a whole other world out there! Everyone was very friendly and kind, but even the shortest conversation takes a long time!

Glad to see you are enjoying your time in Mobile!
What was the name of the restaurant you visited?
Will you be traveling through Mobile on your way back home?
It always brings a smile to my face when I hear how surprised people are when they experience Mobile's Southern Hospitality.
